Westfield, Indiana rarely gets a chance to celebrate two of its biggest athletes at the same time, but that’s exactly what happened at Droplight Grand Park. SKYLAKE Adventures was ecstatic to be right in the middle of it.
Our partnership with Droplight Grand Park is off to a splendid start. The city of Westfield was able to honor two hometown heroes; Purdue’s Braden Smith and and newly drafted Chicago Bears safety Dillon Thieneman both received high honors on this day. Scott Willis, Westfield’s mayor, commemerated the two of them by proclaiming April 22 as Braden Smith & Dillon Thieneman Day. Families from local communities drove in to attend the event, and energy was alive inside the building. SKYLAKE was happy to assist with this event and hopes to find those same community members matching that energy out our outdoor water park.

Braden Smith appeared at the event to accept this honor and shared his time to sign autographs, shoot around with the children, and share kind words about the community. Dillon Thieneman was unable to attend due to the draft taking place the next day. Still, he managed to make an impact by signing footballs to share with the kids and other community members.
SKYLAKE & Grand Park: The Unstoppable Duo
This event also marked the first appearance with SKYLAKE and Droplight Grand Park as one. It gave SKYLAKE the opportunity to spread our name and make the big announcement of our tickets going on sale. Grand Park draws thousands of Indiana families for youth sports tournaments and events, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that experience.
